Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 0.03%, while the index fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the were Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:), which rose 0.79% or 0.52 points to trade at 66.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (EPA:) added 0.66% or 0.92 points to end at 139.44 and Vinci SA (EPA:) was up 0.65% or 0.74 points to 114.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hermes International SCA (EPA:), which fell 2.56% or 51.00 points to trade at 1,941.20 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:) declined 1.98% or 2.70 points to end at 133.35 and Alstom SA (EPA:) was down 1.72% or 0.21 points to 12.01.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexity (EPA:) which rose 10.75% to 17.21, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:) which was up 3.86% to settle at 4.36 and Orpea SA (EPA:) which unchanged 2.70% to close at 0.02.
The worst performers were CGG SA (EPA:) which was down 2.66% to 0.58 in late trade, Hermes International SCA (EPA:) which lost 2.56% to settle at 1,941.20 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) which was down 1.98% to 133.35 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.79% or 0.52 to 66.63.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.64% or 13.20 to $2,064.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.54% or 0.40 to hit $73.49 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.21 to trade at $78.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 101.36.
