AFC Gamma has hired the former chief financial officer of cannabis operator Ascend Wellness Holdings to be its next chief executive as Leonard Tannenbaum transitions to his role as executive chairman.
The real-estate financing company, which specializes in the cannabis industry, said Daniel Neville will come on board on Nov. 13.
He will succeed Tannenbaum, who is set to become AFC’s executive chairman and chief investment officer. Tannenbaum had been serving as CEO and chairman.
Neville comes from Ascend Wellness, where he served as vice president of finance and then CFO. Before that, he was an analyst and then managing director of SLS Capital.
